“GRS Laboratories examined a well-matching pair of earclips with two natural trapiche
emeralds of 20.22 and 19.84 ct, described in report number GRS2023-117500,
demonstrating very good characteristics worthy of a dedicated mention.
This extraordinary pair of trapiche-emeralds is distinguished by a very rare combination of
large size, good transparency, and a fine green color variety with black “star-like” matrix
inclusion. The two trapiche-emeralds are mounted in an elegant pair of earclips surrounded by
natural turquoise.
Analytical and advanced testing traces the origin of these trapiche-emeralds to the prestigious
and legendary mines of the Colombian Andes. The fascinating internal world of classical
Colombian trapiche emerald inclusions is present in these particular trapiche-emeralds. At the
time of testing, it was concluded that the emeralds had a minor degree of clarity enhancement.
The combination of very good attributes that these emeralds display was concluded to be
important.
Matching pairs of Colombian trapiche emeralds of such large size and high quality are very rare.”
