A reversible wall sculpture with a convex black side and a concave white side. Hung in front of a wall, this line creates a floating effect.
This sculpture consists of 64 handmade square hollow bowls of 37 x 37mm, a repetitive succession of clear shapes to form a rhythmic whole.
The making of these pieces is time-consuming, and crafting them becomes a personal meditation.
Rhythm and repetition bring tranquillity, so these objects can lead to moments of contemplation, containing both serenity and movement.
Therefore, I see those pieces as ‘personal mandala’s’, because their form expresses the longing for unity and perfection.
